THE CODY WATERS FOUNDATION

Well our fourth anual Cody ride is complete until next year.This year's ride was a great success. The weather was excellent, we only had one injury and everything went well. I would like to thank everyone that participated or helped out. We had about 140 riders   and with everyone's help, We raised about $13,000. $5000 will be donated to the Pediatric Brian Tumor foundation, $1500 was spent on psp consoles and games, for the kids at choc and   the cost to put on the ride was around $2500 . If anyone knows of a family that may need financial help with a child that is going through a terminal illness, please contact me. Again, I would like to tell everyone that donated money or raffle items, participated in the ride or helped make the ride happen, thank you. None of this would be possible without your help and generosity. If you have suggestions on what we can do to improve the ride or things we need to change, please let me know.

Also, I want to acknowledge some folks that came forward this year and went above and beyond to donate to the foundation.

A special thank you goes out to the Board members, Coaches, Players and Parents of the Torrance American Baseball Pony league (TABB). The league donated over $1900.  

Lori C. of Texas Loosey's Torrance, and her customers donated $1400.

Janet W. and family donated $500 and 7-11 (Prairie & Hardy) Inglewood, donated $500. 

Thanks to all of you for your very generous donations this year. 

I also want to say thank you to the Cal City crew, for their time and assistance in putting the ride together.  Janet, Steve, Scott, Lisa, and Tim, and the rest of the Cal City crew that helped out. Thank you for all the prep work, prerunning the course and getting local riders to come out and help . We could not do this without the help we get from all of you. We hope that everyone has a great 2012 and we look forward to seeing you next March.

And please remember to hug your kids and let them know you love them.
